• Rebalancing or reallocating a portfolio
• Meeting changing capital reserve requirements
• Removing non-strategic assets from consolidated balance sheets
• Disposing of orphaned private equity assets
• Spinning out captive general partner teams that are no longer core or strategic
• Rationalizing portfolios in light of merger and acquisition activity
